After knocking out Manchester City in a thrilling penalty shoot-out, the Madrid side will be playing against Bayern Munich for a place in the final. The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will host the second leg of the semi-final on Wednesday 8 May, while the first leg will be played in Germany on 30 April.
Ancelotti's Real Madrid side will once again face the German team in the most repeated European Cup match, in which the reams have faced each other 26 times. The last match between the two sides was in the semi-finals of the 2017/18 edition on the road to a Thirteenth.
In this season of the UEFA Champions League, Bayern Munich finished top of Group A (ahead of Copenhagen, Galatasaray and Manchester United), knocking out Lazio (3-1) in the last 16 and Arsenal (3-2) in the quarter-finals.
