The British singer, songwriter and musician James Blunt will come on stage at the Complutense University Botanical Gardens (Real Jardín Botánico Alfonso XIII) on 22 July, as part of the Noches del Botánico Festival. In his concert, Blunt, five times nominated for the Grammy Awards, will revisit his greatest hits – songs like You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover, in addition to presenting their seventh studio album, Who We Used to Be (2023).
James Blunt’s debut album, Back to Bedlam, was released in 2004 to great success. His third single, “You’re Beautiful“, has sold more than 625.000 copies in the UK. After the success of “You’re Beautiful”, he released All the Lost Souls (2007), Some Kind of Trouble (2010), Moon Landing (2013), The Afterlove (2017), Once Upon a Mind (2019) and the greatest hits album The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021), including four new songs and four exclusive live performances.
Blunt’s style is the result of a blend of genres including pop rock, soft rock, folk rock and an acoustic note. Soon after releasing his first promotional tape, he signed a contract with the independent record label Custard Records. He’s the recipient of two Brit Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards and five Grammy Awards nominations, among many other accolades.
Blunt’s concert in Madrid will be part of Noches del Botánico, a cycle of concerts for summer evenings and nights in which a selection of national and international artists will participate, presenting their latest albums and hits live in a unique environment.
